Bailey Bugg's Brigade
Bailey was born in 2012, nine weeks before her original due date and despite not needing oxygen, and passing all of her other tests, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two. In June of 2017 Bailey was fortunate enough to start therapy twice a week at Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies in Louisville, Kentucky. Kids Center worked hand in hand with Bailey’s doctors to determine she was an excellent candidate for SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) surgery and in March of 2018, Bailey had the SDR surgery. After spending close to a month in the hospital and rehab center, Bailey was released and now has therapy 5 days a week and we couldn’t be happier that it is through Kids Center.
Additionally, Kids Center has given Bailey many opportunities that she may not have otherwise gotten. She was part of a fashion show last fall and competed on the cheer squad called the Firecrackers, with 6 other special needs kids. You can really tell that everyone at Kids Center loves and supports all of the kids and celebrates their progress.
For this and many more reasons, we are joining the Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies’ 2018 Walk and Roll!
Since 1958, Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies has provided physical, occupational, and speech therapies to children with special needs all over Kentucky and Indiana. Kids Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit and provides these services regardless of the family's ability to afford the cost of care. Which is why we need your support!!
We would love for you to join “Bailey Bugg’s Brigade” Saturday, June 9th at Fourth Street Live! at 8:30 am for a quick walk/roll and then stay for the Dance Party at 10:45 am. If you can’t make it, a donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. The smiles that these kids get from each milestone they reach is definitely worth skipping a coffee or two.
