It’s that time of year again! Just to catch you up: I have been very busy volunteering—with Kids Center and Make-A-Wish and checking on seniors at Elder Serve—and I recently turned 42 years old! And now that it's spring, I am writing you once again ready to “roll” in the 2018 Walk & Roll for Kids! This is one of my favorite projects of the year. I love knowing that my work is going to make sure Kids Center is there for children facing tough challenges. I had people there for me growing up so, with your help, the Center can be there for the next child who needs them. Of all the challenges I face, cerebral palsy is the one that has the most hurdles for me on a daily basis, so Kids Center is especially important to me. Please consider helping me reach my goal with a donation.
First, I want to say thank you to all my friends and family who supported my team last year. I have been a volunteer for Kids Center for about 12 years now, and I truly believe in their mission - to turn no child away if their family can’t pay the full cost of their care. To stay true to this mission, Kids Center needs help from the local community, and that is why I am involved. Nobody knows better than me that sometimes a child needs a little help in life.
It would be great if you would come on June 9th to walk – or roll – with me. The Walk & Roll is from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon at 4th Street Live in downtown Louisville. If you can’t come walk, please consider sending a donation. Please make any checks out to Kids Center at 982 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217. My goal is $500.
I’m thinking of everyone and I hope everyone can donate. Any support you can give is appreciated!
