Frequently Asked Questions


Q: Do I have to pay to participate?
A: Yes! The registration fee for participants is $25. All Kids Center kids or children ages 12 and under are free.

Q: Is there a deadline to register?
A: No way! You are more than welcome to register to walk the day of the event! However, your registration fee will increase from $25 to $30 and we can not guarantee you will receive a Walk and Roll t-shirt.

The online registration portal will close at midnight on June 1st.

Q: What is the deadline to register if I want a Walk and Roll t-shirt?
A: If you would like a Walk and Roll t-shirt, the registration deadline is May 30th at midnight.


Q: If I register first as an individual, can I still start or join a team?
A:  Sadly, no. When you register as an individual you are not able to then start or join a team, because the system already recognizes you as a participant. However, there's hope! If this happens and you decide later on that you would like to start a new team or join an exsisting team, please contact our Marketing and Development staff at or call (502) 584-9781 and we will complete this request for you!

Q: Is all registration online?
A:   Participants can find the Registration Form on our Team Captain Toolbox tab. Please complete it, attach check or money order, and hand deliver or mail to P.O. Box 17630, Louisville, KY 40217 by the May 30th deadline. We will also have paper copies avaliable at both Kids Center campus locations.


Q: When can I pick up my Walk and Roll for KIDS t-shirt?
A: We will have all of the event t-shirts organized for you to be able to pick up at a date to be decided.


Q: Where should I park?
A: Fourth Street Live is providing free parking in the Fourth Street Live garage. The garage is adjacent to Fourth Street Live on Fifth Street between Muhammad Ali and Liberty. Additional parking is offered at the Seelbach Garage, Hyatt Garage, and Starks Garage. Just a short walk to KFC Yum! Center.     


Q: What's the route like?
A: The route is a comfortable 1.2 mile loop. You can view our route map HERE. We will meet you at the finish line with lots of cheering!     


Q: Are there banners this year?
A: Kids Center will provide a team banner to any team that raises $500 or more! This goal has to be reached by May 30th. For more details or questions about banners contact our Marketing and Development staff at or call (502) 584-9781.

Q: What awards will be given out?
A:We will be handing out awards to the Top Family, Business, and Participant who raises the most funds for Kids Center. We will also be giving away special prizes to those who rank in 2nd and 3rd places in those three categories. Be sure to stick around for our Dance Party to find out!

Q: What if it rains?
A: The race will go on! The race will only be cancelled in extreme circumstances. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instragram for special announcements and updates.
